So, a little about me!

We moved as a family in late 2022 to the ‘Mother City’ Cape Town. It’s been a crazy few months & it has taken time to adjust to a new country. Having lived in Germany, the USA, Scotland, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ireland & now Cape Town. I feel I have a good understanding of the stress and excitement of a new country & culture. I have three sons & if the boys have their way, a dog soon. Our industry gives us great opportunities to travel & see the World. In CARA Talent, we have the hands-on knowledge of having worked multi geographically and understand the employer preferences, the cultural nuances of a new country, salaries, benefits and cost of living in different countries. I have over 30 years of experience (yikes, where did all that time go)… I have worked as a waiter, chef, housekeeper, F & B Manager, General Manager, Learning & Development Manager, Talent Acquisition Director and Mom (now this job really tests all skills). I feel my experience allows me to spot good talent.Having a can-do attitude and energy is key. I look at the role from the employer & employee’s perspective to find a fit for both. Our expertise is in senior to mid-level management roles where we place everyone from restaurant managers who are now General Managers, to General Managers who are now CEOs. Our focus is primarily in the 4 & 5 Star market.

We also love to work with talent who are starting their hospitality career. We have worked with some great projects on openings of hotels and restaurants in Dubai, Dublin & Riyadh.

We have wonderful colleagues who have knowledge of employment Law in Europe and the Middle East, who can assist with contracts, job descriptions, a tricky HR issue or lend support when needed.
